Create, train, and embed a website AI agent

A clear walkthrough for new visitors: pick a plan, create your agent, train it on your site, embed the chat widget, and go live. We use a mock example (Coco for iApp Developer) — not AIOGENTA’s own site assistant.

1. Create your account and choose a plan

Start free, then upgrade when you are ready to keep the agent live.

  1. Go to https://aiogenta.com/register and create an account.
  2. You get a 10-day free trial: 1 website agent, Up to 100 conversations / month (trial), 1 knowledge source.
  3. No card is required to start the trial.
  4. After 10 days, upgrade in Settings → Billing. Pay with debit or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover).
  5. For a full website agent like this guide, Starter at $99/month is the usual next step. Local Chat at $29/month fits simple local-service sites.

Mock: iApp Developer signs up, uses the free trial to build Coco, then upgrades to Starter ($99/mo) when the trial ends.

2. Create the agent

Give the agent a name, welcome message, and clear business identity.

  1. Sign in and open Setup (guided checklist) or go to AI Agents → Create agent.
  2. Name the agent something visitors will recognize (not a generic “Assistant”).
  3. Set Business name to your real brand — never paste only a website URL as the name.
  4. Set Website to your live site URL (include https://).
  5. Write a short welcome message in your brand voice.
  6. Add instructions: answer only about your business; use trained knowledge; never invent prices.
  7. Add support email and WhatsApp/phone if visitors should be able to reach a human.
  8. Save the agent.

Mock: Agent name = Coco. Business name = iApp Developer. Website = https://iappdeveloper.com. Welcome = “Hi, I'm Coco from iApp Developer. Ask me about mobile and web app development.”.

3. Train the agent on your website services

Crawl the pages that describe what you sell. Wait until knowledge is INDEXED.

  1. Easiest path: open Websites → add or select your site → Add agent & train (or Retrain agent). That crawls the site, links knowledge to your agent, and prepares an embed snippet.
  2. More control: open Knowledge → New source → type Website crawl → Create → add a Website crawl document with your homepage URL.
  3. Wait until the source/document status is INDEXED before testing hard questions.
  4. Optionally add FAQ rows for packages, timelines, pricing, and contact details the crawl may miss.
  5. On AI Agents → your agent, confirm the knowledge source is linked, then Save.

Tip: Crawl services, pricing (if public), process/about, contact, and portfolio — not only the homepage.

Mock: Crawl https://iappdeveloper.com pages for services, process, and contact. Add FAQs like “Do you build Android apps?” and “What is your process?”

4. Embed the widget on your website

Paste your agent’s own snippet — never reuse another site’s public key.

  1. Open Websites and select your site / widget.
  2. Click Copy snippet.
  3. Paste the script just before </body> on every page (or in the site-wide footer).
  4. Publish your website.
  5. Open your live site, refresh, and test the chat bubble.
  6. You can also use Test chat / Sample page inside AIOGENTA first.
  7. Visitor chats appear in Inbox. Leads show under Leads / Contacts when someone shares details.

Tip: Each website agent has its own data-public-key. Do not paste another business’s widget key on your site.

Mock: Paste Coco’s snippet on https://iappdeveloper.com — not any other agent’s key.

5. Verify answers before you promote the chat

Ask the questions real visitors ask. Fix gaps in Knowledge, not with vague instructions.

  1. Start a new chat on your live site (hard-refresh if you just published).
  2. Try a greeting, a services question, a process question, and a contact question.
  3. Confirm replies talk about your business only — your brand name, your services, your links.
  4. If answers are thin, retrain/crawl more pages or add FAQs, then wait for INDEXED again.
  5. If someone asks for a human, they should get your contact details or a handoff — not internal policy text.

Mock checks for Coco: “how are you”, “what services you provide”, “process to build an Android app”, “human contact”. Replies should mention iApp Developer, not another product.

Embed snippet shape

Your real key comes from Websites → Copy snippet. It looks like this:

<script
  async
  src="https://aiogenta.com/widget/v1/chat.js"
  data-public-key="wk_your_coco_key_here"
  data-api-base="https://aiogenta.com"
></script>

Avoid these mistakes

Most “wrong answers” come from setup mix-ups, not the chat bubble itself.

  • Using another agent’s embed key on your site (each agent needs its own public key).
  • Setting Business name to a raw URL instead of the brand (for example paste “iApp Developer”, not only the website address).
  • Testing before knowledge status is INDEXED.
  • Crawling only the homepage when services live on other pages.
  • Writing instructions that mention other products — keep the agent scoped to one business.

FAQ

Quick answers before you start.

How much does a website agent cost?

Start with a 10-day free trial. After that, Local Chat is $29/month, Starter is $99/month (most popular for a full website agent), Business is $299/month, and Agency is $999/month. Education plans start at $149/month. See the Pricing page for current limits and annual options.

Can one agent power many websites?

On the Agency plan, one agent can cover many client websites. On Starter and Business, create and train an agent for each brand so answers stay clean.

Where do chats and leads go?

Website chats land in Inbox. When visitors share contact details (or complete the lead form), they appear in Leads and Contacts. You can also enable email or WhatsApp owner alerts.

Do I need to redeploy my site after changing the agent?

Keep the same embed snippet. Updates to name, welcome message, instructions, and knowledge go live from the AIOGENTA dashboard without changing the snippet — as long as you keep the same public key.
